Legal Journal Library Expands Content

HeinOnline has just added more than 300,000 new fully-searchable page-images to it’s Legal Journal Library. Among the new additions are the Albany Law Journal - Vols. 1-20 which includes a Cumulative Index (1870-1880) and Common Law World Review - Vols. 1-31 (1972-2002).

Other new additions include:

Catholic University Law Review — Vols. 1-52 (1950-2003)
Journal of Air Law and Commerce — Vols. 1-67 (1930-2002)

Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society — Vols. 41-85 (1959-2003)

    IBM recently reported that 30% of the Web is duplicated information, and that 50 million pages are added or modified each day. This one-hour hands-on CLE class will explore strategies for coping with Web bloat, such as using specialized search tools, news search engines, and the features “hidden” on the advanced search page.
  • 2:00pm - palawlibrary.com (1 hour CLE)
    Learn to use palawlibrary.com, a specialized Pennsylvania database, to locate common pleas court decisions, recent verdicts and settlements, court rules, suits filed, and important legal news.
 
  Tuesday, April 20

  • 10:00am - Online Docket Searching (1 hour CLE)
    This seminar will present an overview of docket searching. Hands-on computer exercises will allow participants to experience searching for dockets from the web sites of the Pennsylvania state and local courts. The PACER Federal docket web site and other fee-based sites will be demonstrated.
  • 2:00pm - Securities Resources on the Web (1 hour CLE)

    This hands-on session will explore the treasure of corporate information that can be found in SEC filings.

  • 3:00pm - Search the Web Effectively (1 hour CLE)
