Will Exit Polls Give Way to Attention Polls?

TechCrunch has posted an article about Google searchers’ interest in the presidential candidates, as illustrated by Google Trends.  (Spoiler: They’re more interested in Sarah Palin than the other 2 guys.)

It’s fascinating to see searches about Ms. Palin spike dramatically on August 29.  It’s like watching the whole nation go, “Who?”, then rush to their keyboards.  One way or another, McCain’s choice of Palin as a running mate got people’s attention.

By way of comparison, I present to you The Flatliners.
