AT&T is now offering free wifi for iPhone users at AT&T hotspots in places such as airports, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Barnes & Noble bookstores, and more.   Access seems straightforward: once you connect to the network, you’ll have to enter your 10-digit number.  AT&T will text you back a link; tap on it and you’ll connect for free for up to 24 hours.

Update, 12:40 pm – BlackBerry users get free wifi, too!
