Back in September I blogged about a couple of articles on Carl Malamud, the driving force behind public.resource.org. Today Wired has another profile of Mr. Malamud. It’s an interesting read. Here are two pithy quotes I’d like to share with you: “The PACER system is the most broken part of our federal legal mechanism. They have a mainframe mentality.” And: “‘We are going after all primary legal materials in the U.S.,” Malamud says. “That’s part of America’s OS [operating system], and we think it should be open source.”‘ Amen, bro. |
