Catalog Tips
Basic Search

Keyword - This is the default search field. Searches words in the Title and Table of Contents, plus Subject Headings assigned by catalogers. Your query can include Boolean and proximity connectors, nesting, and truncation; see the Keyword Search Guide for details.
Title - Enter words in the Title of a known resource.
Author - Enter either a last name, last name followed by first name, or the name of an organization or government agency.

Call # - Enter a Library of Congress number. You do not have to enter the complete number.

kfp155.5
kfp155.5.a75

Tip: You can do a Keyword search to retrieve a relevant catalog record, then broaden your results by clicking on any of its Subject Headings to perform a Subject search.
Advanced Search
Provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for catalog searching. Select a field, enter your terms, then select a Boolean or proximity connector. Note: Any Field in Advanced Search corresponds to Keyword in Basic Search.
Additional fields include Year, Publisher, Location (in the Jenkins collection) and Material Type. Tip: If you want to select more than one Location or Material Type, hold the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Mac OS) down while clicking.
Results Page
The most relevant materials are displayed at the top of the list of results. You can resort the list by Date or by Title if you wish.
Click on the Search History pull-down if you want to rerun one of your previous searches (during the current session) without having to retype the terms.
The catalog will reset to the Basic Search page after 3 minutes of inactivity.
