  •

Need help to understand the basic structure of the Pennsylvania Court System?  Check out the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania's video, Pennsylvania Justice: Understanding the Courts. This video uses graphics and examples to explain the differences between the Magisterial District Courts, the Courts of Common Pleas and the Appellate Courts. According to the related news release, the video "simplifies the seemingly intricate organization of Pennsylvania’s judiciary and its appeals process." The video is in English, but a Spanish transcript is available.

The Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania offers several other helpful videos, charts, and photos on topics such as Pennsylvania's Guardian Tracking System and Veterans Treatment Courts.  All are available from the Unified Judicial System's media resources.
