Alternatives to Guardianship (Webinar)

Representatives of institutions often tell parents of young adults with intellectual disabilities or adult children of parents with various disabilities that their loved ones "must" have a guardian to make their health care and financial decisions. But Pennsylvania law requires that less-restrictive alternatives to guardianship be explored before appointing a guardian to an incapacitated person.

Come to this one-hour CLE webinar to learn about Pennsylvania guardianship laws, as well as less-restrictive alternatives to guardianship. The class discussion will be framed by the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, particularly Rule 1.14. Client with Diminished Capacity.

Provider:
Jenkins Law Library, an accredited provider under the Pennsylvania CLE Board's Rules, will serve as the CLE provider for this course. The course has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.0 hour of CLE credit in ethics.
