Michael Houghton, Esq.

Michael is local to the Philadelphia area and attended The Haverford School, Valley Forge Middle School and Conestoga High School. Michael attended Elon College in North Carolina for two years where he studied computer science and political science. He then transferred to American University in Washington, DC, where he attained a B.A. in Political Science.

Michael interned for the Hon. Edward G. Rendell during the summer of his first year in Widener Law School. He helped manage the electronic voter database for Gov. Rendell’s successful reelection. During his third year at Widener, Michael was certified as a Legal Intern for the Chester County District Attorney by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. During that time he was assigned to several different Magisterial District Courts, charged with the responsibility of prosecuting preliminary hearings and summary trials. Additionally, Michael conducted summary appeals and violation of probation hearings.

After passing the bar in Pennsylvania, Michael started his own solo practice, The Law Offices of Michael E. Houghton, Esq. P.C. He concentrates on family law, consumer law, bankruptcy, criminal law, and appellate practice.

Michael is, and has been, a proud resident of Chester County Pennsylvania and is eager to bring his enthusiastic love for the law to his hometown.
