Philadelphia Code of Ordinances Prior Editions

The Philadelphia Code represents the official codification of City Ordinances. The First Edition, mandated in 1951 by the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter, became effective February 29, 1956. The current edition is the Twelfth Edition, the print version of which is current through March 1, 2020 and has a February 2021 Supplement. The online version is updated regularly, and is generally current to a few weeks ago.

All prior editions, First through Eleventh, are held in print form at Jenkins, along with many interim annual cumulative supplements, as well as the 1954 Tentative Draft.

Researchers needing any of these publications should contact the research department at 215.574.1505 or email research@jenkinslaw.org for additional assistance.
