Jenkins On Your Desktop: Manual of Patent Examination Procedure on HeinOnline

The Manual of Patent Examination Procedure is produced by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and should be used as a reference on the practice and procedures regarding patent applications. Chapters include "Examination of Applications", "Appeal", "Patentability", and more. The Appendix includes Patent Laws, Patent Rules, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty.

To access this title, use your last name and member number to log into Jenkins' website. From either the Member Center or the list of Member Databases, select HeinOnline. Once in Hein, from the Subscribed Libraries list on the left-hand side select Manual of Patent Examination Procedure. Hein has the full text of all eight editions of the manual plus the yearly revisions.

Hein automatically defaults to a browse by edition option. To search this collection, click on the Search tab below the HeinOnline logo. The search box will appear on the left-hand side of the screen. For in-depth search options, including the ability to restrict the search by date, click on "Advanced Search" or "Field Search".
