Jenkins On Your Desktop: Pennsylvania Law School Journals on HeinOnline

HeinOnline has an extensive collection of law reviews and law journals. This collection is searchable as a whole, by subject, and by state. Most law journals on Hein are available from inception. Due to the agreements between the individual law schools and Hein, there may be a 1-2 year embargo on the most recent material.

Pennsylvania law schools have numerous journals included in Hein's Law Journal Library, including journals from Dickinson School of Law (Pennsylvania State University), Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law, Duquesne University School of Law, Temple University School of Law, University of Pennsylvania Law School, University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Villanova University School of Law, and Widener University School of Law.

Individual titles include Duquesne Business Law Journal (1999-2012), Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal (Villanova University School of Law, 1994-2013), Penn State Law Review (1897-2013), Pittsburgh Tax Review (2003-2012), Temple Journal of Science, Technology & Environmental Law (1982-2012), University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law and Social Change (1993-2013), and more.

To access this collection, use your last name and member number to log into Jenkins' website. From either the Member Center or the list of Member Databases, select HeinOnline. Once in Hein, from the Subscribed Libraries list on the left side select Law Journal Library. Hein defaults to a browsing option by journal title. To see the titles grouped by state, switch "Browse by: Publication Title" to "Browse by: State (U.S.)". The states are listed in alphabetical order.

Click on the plus sign next to "Pennsylvania" to view all titles from Pennsylvania Law Schools. To search this collection, click on the Search tab below the HeinOnline logo. The search box will appear on the left side of the screen. This basic search will search all of the Law Journal Library. To search just the journals from Pennsylvania, click on "Field Search". Once in the "Field Search" screen, change one of the three drop down choices to "State" and type Pennsylvania in the search box. The "Field Search" also allows you to search the text as well search article title and article author. A date restriction is also possible.

Hein offers ways to "Refine your search", including by journal title, subject, and date, located on the left side of the results list. To run a new search or to modify your search, click on the "New Search" or "Modify Search" buttons above the search results.
