PAeDocket: There’s an App for that!

Sometimes you are not always near your computer to check on the latest information affecting your cases.  This is especially true with docket information.  Luckily your mobile phone can keep you informed when away from the office.

The free app PAeDocket provides docket information for magisterial district courts, common pleas courts and appellate courts.  The app was developed for the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.  The majority of the cases are criminal with select civil cases included.  You can rapidly find the docket as well as the status of a case, upcoming hearings and court dates.

The app allows you to search by using Docket Number, Participant Name, Organization Name, Offense Tracking Number, State Identification Number, Police Incident or Complaint Number.  From the results list you can select the case you are interested in viewing.  You can save cases to a “favorites” bookmarking feature that allows you to return to the case later.  There is a history feature of all the individual cases you viewed, which really helps if you forgot to make a case into a favorite.

The app is made for both Android and iOS platforms (both iPhone and iPad).  Go to the Google Play or the iTunes app store and search for “PAeDockets”.  You can quickly download the free app because it does not take up much space on your phone.

And of course, please do not search PAeDocket while you are driving or crossing the street, tempted though you may be!
