Need help understanding what a civil case is? The Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania has added Understanding Civil Cases in Pennsylvania’s Court of Common Pleas to its Media Resources. The helpful graphic offers examples of civil cases and provides basic information about a trial, burden of proof and outcome. It also includes a helpful civil case flow chart which highlights the paths a case may take.
