Trial Manual 6 for the Defense of Criminal Cases Now on HeinOnline
HeinOnline recently added Trial Manual 6 for the Defense of Criminal Cases, an ALI-CLE publication. It is included in the American Law Institute Collection with the other ALI-CLE Publications.
This two volume title by Anthony G. Amsterdam and Randy Hertz is described by ALI-CLE as a "guidebook for criminal defense lawyers at the trial level" that "gives defense lawyers the information they have to know, and the strategic factors they should consider, at each stage of the criminal trial process." The chapters are laid out chronologically, beginning with pretrial proceedings and ending with post trial motions and sentencing. The wide scope of this treatise covers a variety of topics relating to criminal cases, including "State-Paid Assistance for the Defense", "Dealings with the Police and Prosecutor", "Representing Clients Who Are Mentally Ill or Intellectually Disabled", "Opening Statements", "Postverdict Proceedings", and more.
More information, including a content summary, is available on ALI's website.
